Following their rapturous appearance in early January, The New Variants! are back at Awastone again by overwhelming public demand! this time with added 'Guest' musicians - 'Joe90' on Saxaphone to blow your mind on SUNDAY 3rd MARCH 2024!!!

The New Variants! core band comprises of long-time 'Taihape Musicians Club' members Fred & Cyn Hammer who have played in many musical lineups over the years, entertaining crowds in and around the Rangitikei area and beyond! ; With Richard Aslett, who appeared at the final of the latest New Zealand's Got Talent and was also seen on both the last NZ X-Factor and more recently on the Popstars TV extravagances; Adding to this, the band is joined in more recent times by 'Rangatua Rocker' Mike Bly, who has jammed his way up and down the North Island, playing his lavish lead and riveting rhythm Guitar to many wild and crazy fans...

Playing an eclectic mix of mainly cover songs (at this stage!) they have a huge selection of tunes to please all ears, from the 50's right up to Today, with quiet duets, popular dance numbers, four-voice harmonies, to out and out rocking good tracks! Don't miss their next live performance, currently booked for Sunday the 3rd of March, starting around 4pm at the awesome Awastone River Haven in Mangaweka.

Hello Web-Surfers, Cyber Freaks and Internetters - this is a brand NEW Richard Aslett Web-Site - set up because good old 'MYOB' and their subsidiary 'ATLAS' in NZ decided "they were getting out of the website providers arena" - and although their invoices continued to arrive in my inbox, their extremely short-notice of closing alerts did not! Result - 3 years of Web-content LOST and no archiving by the offending company. Anyway... worse things happen at sea (shark attacks, monstrous waves and sinking boats etc)

SO... Here we are on WEBADOR!  I will be posting random stuff, info, pix, just to get some content back on the Net, with a view to organise, prioritise and get properly sorted in the very near future!
